Description

Tommy’s War is a range of model figures focusing on the British and Empire armed forces of the First World War,

The 10th Battalion of the Gurkha Rifles was formed in 1890 from a Nepalese Police Unit, and with the rest of the Gurkha Rifles formed an important part of the Indian Army in 1914. Initially the Battalion was stationed in Suez but transferred to the Dardanelles with the 29th Indian Brigade, being part of the battle of Gully Ravine.

The figure is depicted in action in this battle, wearing his Khaki Drill uniform, 1903 pattern bandolier equipment and holding the famous kukri knife.
The figure has been sculpted by Nino Pizzichemi and the box artwork is by Alex Varela.
