Customers waiting to pick-up any figures that have been out of stock for a while will be pleased to know that new stock is on it’s way to me. I’m expecting this stock to arrive at the end of this week (week commencing 10th April 2023) and I hope to add all of that to the site on Tuesday 18th April 2023 from 12:00 noon (GMT).

Update

Since I announced that I was closing Tommy’s War at the end of 2023 I’ve been met with lots of really positive messages, thank you for everyone for reaching out.

Following the announcement the number of orders received took me by surprise and many figures sold-out. We’ve been working hard to cast new stock and the order coming in is by a long way the largest restock I’ve ever completed.

The new stock consists of 1,200 figures, 200 cavalry, 110 artillery pieces, 20 motorcycles and assorted Vickers machine gun diorama etc.

It’s been a massive undertaking and hence it’s taken a long time for us to manufacture this.

The restock will allow enough stock to go around, but I will continue to cast through 2023 so if there is something out of stock then it will come back in.

Gassed

There are a few items that won’t immediately return to stock, unfortunately Gassed is one of them as one figure has a broken finger on one hand that is broken in the mould and needs a repair. However, I’m working at this moment on that and plan to have that back during 2023. Other individual items might have the same issue (it’s something that can happen with the constant use of the masters) – but all items will return to stock at some point this year.

Tommy’s War in the future

I did write that I hoped to release new figures before I finished Tommy’s War. Unfortunately a number of things have happened this year that has meant that I’ve been unable to spend time creating new masters. So, I’m sad to say that there will be no new figures from Tommy’s War.

In terms of my role within Tommy’s War, I still plan to cease trading at the end of 2023. There has been some interest in taking-on the business. At this point I’ve not given that any serious consideration and will spend the summer getting the next stock update delivered to customers and review it in the Autumn.

Thank you for your patience

I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life so far in 2023 and the huge task of producing more stock has taken some time. I would just like to thank everyone for their patience and just ask that you bear with me during what is going to be a busy couple of months mailing all of the new stock.

I understand it’s frustrating waiting for figures to become available again, or for an answer from me, but I can assure you that I’m doing my very, very best in what has been a difficult time (although, I’m pleased to say that the situation is much better now).
