I want to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone that contacted me or left comments on social media following my announcement that Tommy’s War will close at the end of 2023.

The response to that was truly overwhelming and I’ve been inundanted with orders and messages of goodwill.

I’m trying to go through emails and pack orders at the moment, so if you’ve contacted me and I’ve not responded then please accept my apologies – but I will try and get back to everyone as quickly as I can.

Outstanding orders

There was a huge response in terms of orders since last week. There were around 200 orders, I’ve managed to ship some and currently there are 54 outstanding. I can assure everyone that I am working as hard as I can to fulfil everything.

Unfortunately there is a postal strike today and tomorrow here in the UK (Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September) which means there are no postal collections, so my aim is to have everything ready for Monday and complete all orders Monday 12th September using Royal Mail or DHL.

I’d like to apologise to anyone waiting for their order, but I’d just like to ask for your patience while I catch-up.

Problems with orders

I do try and check everything before it goes out, but sometimes there are errors in orders (incorrect items, missing pieces etc).

If you do have a problem with your order then please accept my apologies but again I ask your patience while I sort everything else out. I understand that it’s frustrating when there is an issue, but I will sort it out, please just bear with me.

Stock updates

Quite a few products sold very quickly and are now showing out of stock. Once I get all orders completed I will run a full stock check (probably some time next week) and will place an order to cast items out of stock or low in stock. Once I’ve done that I’ll order casting and advise when this will be available.

I am planning on continuing Tommy’s War through 2023, so if something is out of stock now or in the immediate future then I do plan on getting more stock in.

If a product is out of stock then I’d be really grateful if you would enter your email address into the box marked “notify me when back in stock” on the individual product page. This shows me how many people are waiting for something and I can order sufficient stock to be cast.

Crossley Light Tender

We’re close to shipping the 100 copies of this vehicle from the casters and I hope to have this ready to release around the 16th September (actual date to be confirmed).

As I write this there are around 60 people who have notifications for this product turned on, so I expect it to be busy again.

There are a number of figures cast that will come with the vehicle, a full list will be made available at the time.
