Tommy’s War news – our biggest and best year ever!
Here’s an update on the rapidly evolving world of Tommy’s War, and my plans for 2017;
Collectors Club Special 2017
Following the announcement in May, the specification has changed slightly for the 2017 Collectors Club Special;
TW32CC02 – Sergeant, Household Cavalry, France 1917
On the note of the Collectors Club, I think it’s worth adding that customers can now select to receive either the 2016 or 2017 figure when they purchase their membership from a drop-down list on this website. This seems to have been very popular with Collectors Club members, so I’ll be moving that forward in future years.
In September I’ll be launching the 2018 Collectors Club, the club will be overhauled and some changes brought in. The main difference is that I’ll be announcing the 2018 Collector Club Special at the time and that figure will be included in members packs.
I reviewed the ballot/vote system and most members seemed to agree that they would prefer the figure immediately, so I’ve listened and I’m looking forward to the launch.

A Collectors Club case study
I received an order on Saturday and I think it sums up the value of the Collectors Club really well.
A new customer purchased a 2017 CC membership. As he is in the UK he paid £25 and he selected TW32CC01 (sniper) as his figure.
The same customer then came-back and placed an order for TW32C02 (£40) and TW32CP01 (£16). With his discount applied, he saved £11.20.
His order was posted including both his figures, plus his membership pack and sniper figure. He also received a catalogue and the previous editions of the Collectors Club Exclusive newsletter.
That means he paid just £13.80 for his sniper (£25 membership fee minus £11.20)
That has to represent terrific value, not only did he get a great figure for just £13.80 he gets 20% off his Tommy’s War orders for 12 months and the newsletters!

Releases for 2017
I’m working on an extensive list of releases for this year and hope to release a minimum of 12 figures (including the 5 released in April). However, I’m working on a couple of projects that, if they happen as planned, could mean that number rises considerably.

Crossley Light Tender
Due to popular demand the Crossley Light Tender vehicle (formerly TW54010) is back for a limited time. Since it was retired from the catalogue it has been regularly requested so I’ve ordered 25 more kits.
There were a lot of modellers lined-up for the kit, so 20 copies were pre-ordered, but that does leave 5 copies still available to purchase. These are now listed on this site here
The shipping date for these kits is week commencing 19th June 2017.
